Northeastern University in Silicon Valley offers four different master’s degrees with a suite of concentrations for learners transitioning to tech from backgrounds in the humanities, social sciences, or life sciences. MS in Computer Science, Align
Degree conferred by: Khoury College of Computer Sciences
You’ll begin the program with a two-semester introductory sequence designed specifically for students without a background in computer science. Your cohort will be made of students like you who are coming from outside the field. You’ll then be able to choose from a range of electives—such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer-Human Interface, Graphics, Software Engineering, and more—in important breadth areas.

MS in Information Systems, Bridge

The MSIS-Bridge program aims to bridge the gap between business users and technologists as industries increasingly digitize their operations. The program responds to the growing demand for professionals who possess a deep understanding of how technology can be harnessed to address significant societal challenges. Through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates business management, software engineering, and information technology, MSIS-Bridge students are empowered to tackle complex real-world issues in the realms of business and society.

MS in Data Science, Align

This program provides research and coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, databases, statistics (hypothesis testing), and the theory of language programming. You will learn to collect data from numerous sources, explore and hypothesize, utilize machine learning models, and effectively analyze and communicate your models and predictions. These important skills, coupled with opportunities for experiential learning, will allow you to chart your own unique career course in this highly competitive and rewarding field.

MPS in Analytics
Degree conferred by: College of Professional Studies
Students take on an end-to-end analytics education through a core curriculum with integrated experiential learning opportunities. The program prepares students with a deep understanding of the mechanics of working with data (i.e., its collection, modeling, and structuring) along with the capacity to identify and communicate data-driven insights that ultimately influence decisions. Students graduate with a portfolio of work samples that demonstrate their range and depth of skill.
