Lunch & Leadership: Where AI Meets Opportunity
Join us on campus for an expert panel discussion, lunch, and networking.
You’ll hear from our artificial intelligence experts who have been working on the technology through multiple growth cycles. They’ll share what they see as the most exciting opportunities in the field right now, from the vantage point of deep technical expertise and long industry experience. They’ll also speak about the research opportunities that students have been taking part in, both in faculty labs and independently.
Following, that you’ll get key job market updates from our faculty member who leads engineering students through finding, landing, and completing their internships. She’ll share the market trends that have impacted students over the last few years, where she sees things going next, and the strategies that have worked for our students (both those with experience and those who are changing fields).
We’re excited to invite you to dig into the big questions of the moment with our faculty experts:
Sergey Aityan
Prof. Sergey Aityan holds a DSc in Mathematics and Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, PhD in Computer Science and PhD in Chemistry and Biophysics from Russian Academy of Sciences, and MBA from Lincoln University. Prof. Aityan conducts multidisciplinary research including artificial intelligence (AI), artificial neural networks, biomedical research and application of AI in medicine, mathematical modeling and optimization, and computer simulation. He has published over 170 papers, 7 books, and authored several patents. Prof. Aityan teaches general AI, neural networks, data science, and software engineering. Having extensive academic and industrial experience, he leads the development of advanced AI-powered industrial and scientific applications. His teaching philosophy emphasizes learning fundamentals, being on the cutting edge of modern science and technology, and delivering advanced solutions that serve people. He advises his students: “Be careful, AI is a double-edged sword. Whether it helps or harms depends entirely on how we wield it.” Prof. Aityan hosts Multidisciplinary Round Table (MRT) and leads Archimedes Research Club.
